​WYSA Registration Fee Waiver Policy
 
 
WYSA will accept applications for hardship, season registration fee waivers based on the following criteria: 
  
A written request from the custodian parent or guardian of the child, directed to the WYSA Registrar and President no less than seven (7) days prior to the start of an Intown or Travel season.  The fee waiver request must state the reason for the hardship, the names, age, and grade of the children subject to the request; as well as the family contact / guardian information. 
  
Decisions concerning any hardship waiver will be discussed confidentially and voted on by the WYSA Board of Directors, with subsequent notification provided to the family. 
  
Guidelines regarding any partial to full waivers are as follows, and may be granted in the form of: 
  
1)  Player pays only for uniform costs and certain fees (league, insurance fees), total amount to be determined by the Board of Directors, 
  
2)  Payment plans for full registration fees, 
  
3)  Full registration fees initially paid in full, with a portion to be refunded back to the family based upon their providing volunteer hours for WYSA (as determined by the Board of Directors), or 
  
4)  any other way the BOD deems helpful to the family based on circumstances outlined in their written waiver request.

Intown Refund Policy

 
Once the Spring or Fall Intown Season registration late fee period takes effect, all Intown registration fees (including late fees) are non-refundable.  This general rule is subject to the following exception:
 
The reason for a refund request is due to either medical issues or if the player moves from Wilmington.  In such instance, subject to the WYSA Board of Director (BOD) approval, a portion of Intown fees may be refunded if prior to the first game of the season, written notification (including doctor notes for medical issues) is provided to the WYSA Board of Directors.  Any refunded amount agreed upon by the WYSA will be equal to the current Intown registration fee less all WYSA expenses (insurance, registration, uniforms, WYSA late fee, etc.).
 
Otherwise, after the late fee period takes effect, no refunds will be provided.

Player Coach Development (PCD) Program Refund Policy
 
1) The WYSA will fully refund any registration fees for paid training programs if the WYSA receives a written refund request four (4) weeks prior to the program start date; or
 
2) If a player has medical issues or the player moves more than 15 miles away from Wilmington, subject to the WYSA Board of Directors approval, a portion of the fees may be refunded if prior to the first Session written notification (including doctor’s notes for medical issues) is provided to the WYSA Board of Directors.  Any refunded amount agreed upon by the WYSA will be equal to the registration fee less all WYSA expenses incurred.

Program Registration Discounts
 
Are provided for both (and a combination of both) Intown and Travel program season registrations.  Details as follows:

- 10% discount off total registration fees if registering 3 siblings for a specific season registration period
- 20% discount off total registration fees if registering 4 (or more) siblings for a specific season registration period

Examples: 
1)  In the Fall, the Smith Family registers 2 girls to play Intown Soccer in the Fall season and 1 boy to play soccer for the combined (year-long) Travel season.  Apply 10% discount.
2)  The next Spring, the Smith Family registers their 2 daughters to play soccer again in the Intown program.  No discount applies.
